Anthonieta Ijeoma Kalunta was born on 13 March 1994 in Zaria, Kaduna State, Nigeria. Her father hails from Abia State and her mother from Imo State, giving her a rich blend of Igbo cultural influences despite being born and raised in the northern part of the country. She completed her primary and secondary education in Kaduna State. From a young age, Anthonieta showed a strong inclination toward the performing arts. She began acting in junior secondary school by joining the drama unit for her school fellowship. Initially, she aspired to become a veterinary doctor, but her passion for acting was ignited around the age of 12 or 13 after being inspired by a production tied to her brother’s elective course in Theatre and Performing Arts. This early exposure shifted her focus, leading her to pursue formal training. She earned a degree in Theatre and Performing Arts from Ahmadu Bello University, where she honed her skills in stage acting—emphasizing the use of voice and body without microphones, barefoot performances, and creative use of human props.
