Biography
EARLY LIFE
Angelique Munyange was born in the Democratic Republic of Congo and spent a significant portion of her life in South Africa, where she was raised in Cape Town. Her passion for acting developed during her time at Parklands College in Cape Town, where she was involved in the drama club and took drama as a major class from Grade 10 to Matric. She moved to Los Angeles towards the end of 2017.
CAREER
Angelique Munyange began her professional career in the entertainment industry in 2018. After moving to Los Angeles, she pursued higher education, earning a Bachelor's in Fine Arts. Her primary focus has been acting and modeling, but she has also taken on roles as a production assistant, assistant director, digital imaging technician, writer, and voice-over artist in both English and French. She has received classical theatre training, including programs from Trinity College of London and various classes from NYFA. Her acting credits include short films like 'Words Never Said' (2022), which she also produced and wrote, and 'Sebari Milach' (2022), which won a silver prize at The Loerie Awards. She also appeared in 'Evidence of Remorse' (2017), 'Diary of Bolanle' (2018), and several episodes of 'Jess Goes West' (2019), as well as new media projects like '#Whatsnext' (2019) and 'We Are The Mafia' (2019). As of late 2023, she was actively writing and working on her craft, with two commercials on air and a pilot in the process of being sold.
PERSONAL LIFE
In her free time, Angelique enjoys hobbies such as roller skating, pottery, baking, singing, and Brazilian funk dance classes. She is also part of a community of Congolese creatives in Southern California, actively working to strengthen their connections. Munyange has volunteered in the NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit) at Dignity Health California Hospital, holding babies who needed extended hospital stays.
