Adeola Andrea Peregrino is an award-winning Nigerian filmmaker, director, producer, and storyteller. She specializes in creating impactful short films, documentaries, and media content that address social issues and celebrate African stories. She works as a Creative Director and Content Producer at SkillzHQ Limited in Lagos and has founded or led several creative projects under her own banner. Her notable works include: LEAKED (2022 short film) – Directed and produced; won the AMVCA Award for Best Film (2023) and the BEETA Film Festival Award (2022). The film explores the consequences of a high school student’s nudes being leaked. POACHED (2022 short drama) – Directed and produced; won first prize at the USAID-LEAP Africa Combating Trafficking in Persons (CTIP) Awards (2022) and second prize at the IOM UN Migration Short Film Awards (2023). It tells the story of a young football player from a poor background targeted by human traffickers. IRU UJU (Grief) (2022 micro-documentary) – Directed and produced for Verified Champions, a United Nations initiative. The Edo Story (2023 documentary) – Captured eight years of government reforms in Edo State under Governor Godwin Obaseki, covering sectors like education, healthcare, women empowerment, sports, and agriculture. Other works include the music visual Lady Donli – Thunderstorm in Surulere (2022) and the feature film project Intermission (2021), which explores family disintegration. She has also been recognized for her contributions to gender empowerment and social impact filmmaking. Her projects often blend strong narratives with high production quality, earning her recognition on platforms like AMVCA and international film festivals. She continues to work on films, documentaries, and creative content that promote positive change and African storytelling.
