Biography
EARLY LIFE
Amos Adetuyi grew up in Sudbury, Canada, with his brother Alfons and four other siblings. They were encouraged to create from a young age, with teachers in high school providing a framework for storytelling and creative processes. They had access to cameras and even shot a sitcom pilot that turned into a cable show called 'enuf nis enuf'. He feels very connected to Sudbury as it's where his foundational creative experiences began.
CAREER
Amos Adetuyi is an award-winning Canadian Producer and Executive Producer with 30 years of experience in the film and television industry. He is the CEO of the production company Circle Blue Entertainment. He is known for producing the television drama series 'Diggstown' (CBC and BET+), 'Jozi-H' (CBC/SABC), and the dramatic serial 'Ekhaya: A Family Chronicle' (CBC/SABC), the first official Canada-South Africa co-production. He is also the creator/producer of over 100 episodes of the Gemini award-winning unscripted series 'Skin Deep' (SLICE/Oxygen). His documentary credits include co-producing 'North/South' (CBC), writing and producing 'It Ain't All Jazz' (Bravo!), executive producing 'Ganesh, Boy Wonder', and producing the CSA nominated 'The Impossible Swim' (Bell Media/TSN). His feature film producing credits include 'Jean Of The Joneses', 'Across The Line', 'The Incredible 25th Year of Mitzi Bearclaw', 'Angelique’s Isle', 'Beat The World', 'High Chicago', and 'The Boathouse'. More recent projects include the docuseries 'Sounds Black' and feature films 'ORAH' and 'Café Daughter'. Adetuyi is a Producers Guild Member, a member of the International Emmy Academy of Television, and the CMP's Diversity Commitee. He attended the Producers lab at the Canadian Film Centre.
PERSONAL LIFE
Amos Adetuyi grew up in Sudbury, Ontario, one of six siblings, and maintains a strong connection to his hometown. He has two brothers, Alfons and Robert Adetuyi, both involved in the film industry. He is a co-founder of KIC Group, a collaboration between his Canadian-based production company, Circle Blue Entertainment, and South Africa’s Known Associates Group, aiming to bridge the South African and Canadian markets for filmmaking and amplify diverse voices from the African diaspora.
