Biography
EARLY LIFE
Amen Imasuen was born on August 3, 1979, in Benin City, Edo State, Nigeria. He attended Ugbowo Primary School and Adolor College, both in Benin City, and later studied Mass Communication at Auchi Polytechnic.
CAREER
He began his career as a production assistant under Ambassador Lancelot Oduwa Imasuen, where he was trained as a filmmaker. He directed his first full-length movie, 'Ewowo' (an Edo language film), at the age of 22. Since then, he has directed over 20 full-length movies and has worked extensively as an editor, assistant director, colorist, producer, and writer in the Nigerian film industry, with credits including 'Son of Mercy' (2020), 'Sunburn' (2017), and 'Gbege' (2022).
