Biography
EARLY LIFE
Aliyu Modibbo Ahmad was born and raised in Gombe State, northern Nigeria. He grew up in a poor and downtrodden environment, surrounded by challenges such as poverty, out-of-school children, beggars, hunger, and limited opportunities. These experiences deeply influenced him and inspired his passion for community development and activism. He completed his college education at the young age of 20 and founded his NGO shortly after.
CAREER
Aliyu Modibbo Ahmad is known as a Nollywood actor and the founder of Within-Community, a non-governmental organization focused on human rights advocacy, empowering communities, protecting women and children from discrimination, violence, poverty, hunger, and disease. He created the organization to build a safe community where children can grow up with better opportunities and reach their full potential. As an actor, he has appeared in various film and television projects. He actively uses his platform to speak on social issues, particularly the high number of out-of-school children in northern Nigeria. He urges the government and development partners to invest more in education and youth empowerment in the region.
