EARLY LIFE

Dr. Alex Okoroji, born Alexandra Adaeze Okoroji, was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria, the daughter of renowned Nigerian Musician, intellectual property activist, and former PMAN president, Tony Okoroji, and fashion designer, Queen Mary Okoroji. Despite graduating from college as a science major, her film training included two years in community theatre and acting workshops. She received a doctorate degree from Rai University, Ahmedabad, India, in July 2022. She holds an Executive Master's in International Marketing Communications, a Mini MBA, a BA in Mass Communication, and Diplomas in Media Studies, Acting and Performance, Film Studies, and Creative Writing. She has also earned Professional Certificates in Brand Management (University of London), Marketing and Communications (International Business Management Institute, Berlin), and a Certificate in Women's Entrepreneurship (Cornell University). She is an alumna of the Metropolitan School of Business & Management, UK, an associate alumna of the London Business School, and a beneficiary of the Bank of America (BofA) Institute for Women's Entrepreneurship program at Cornell.

Alex Okoroji has dedicated two decades to the intersection of art, media, and business, building an extraordinary career as a performing, literary, and visual artist. She began her professional acting career on television in 2005, gaining recognition in the reality television show 'Amstel Malta Box Office (AMBO)'. Her film credits include 'Calabar Girl' (2005), 'Freedom Bank' (2007), 'Trinity' (2008), 'Destiny' (2008), 'State of the Heart' (2008), 'Hero's Bride' (2008), 'Waiting Years' (2009), 'The Guide' (2014), and 'Cajole' (2015). She has also appeared in popular Nigerian television soap operas and series such as 'Heavens Gate' (2006), 'US' (2008–2009), 'Wives N' Concubines' (2008), 'G.R.A. Women' (2009), 'Rush' (2010), 'Tales of Eve' (2013), 'Tinsel' (2008–2010), 'Spider' (2009-2014), and 'Rivalry' (2016). A top-notch voice actor since 2009, she has lent her voice to numerous international infomercials, radio dramas, animation, podcast intros, narrations, and commercials. She worked as a television presenter for 'Fitness at Your Finger Tips' (2008) on Africa Magic and 'Mega Vision' (2008) on Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). Since 2014, she has hosted 'The Naked Talk w/ Alex Okoroji,' an international syndicated talk radio show. She is the Founder and President of G-Woman Media™, a global women-owned digital multimedia broadcasting, publishing, and production company, and also the founder of The BRAG Media Company, a boutique creative agency. Alex Okoroji is the author of four books: 'The Naked Truth: Lies Stripped...' (2015), 'Stripped Down Success for Creatives' (2016), 'I Bared My Chest' (2017), and 'Uncovered!: The Naked Road from Timid Girl to Confident Woman' (2018). She serves as Editor-in-Chief for BRAG! Magazine, G-Woman magazine, and ON-SCREEN magazine. She is a Certified Management Consultant (CMC) and a Fellow of the Institute of Management Consultants (FIMC). She has served as Director, International Affiliations & Brand Communications for the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), G100 Global Chair for Media Arts & Communication, and President of WEF West Africa.

PERSONAL LIFE

Often referred to as the 'Queen of Expression,' Dr. Alex Okoroji is an engaged community leader. In 2014, she was the National Coordinator for 4NL/4NN (4 New Lagos and 4 New Nigeria), a social pressure group advocating for a new Nigeria. She has participated in the annual CNN Freedom Project, a global media campaign against modern-day slavery. In 2017, she appeared on the Nigerian television game show 'Who Wants To Be a Millionaire,' winning two million naira for The Dada Marquis Foundation. She also founded The BRAG Media Foundation to provide media support, advocacy, and literacy to SMEs, students, and charitable organizations.
