Aisha Baba Ahmed is a highly respected Nollywood actress, filmmaker, scriptwriter, and voice-over artist from Zaria, Kaduna State. She is widely celebrated for utilizing mainstream film and television to showcase Northern Nigerian culture, traditions, and stories to the world. She gained widespread national recognition for her compelling performance as Matilda Zamani, the formidable and commanding matriarch in the hit Africa Magic TV series Halita (2019–2020). She has starred in several major Nollywood feature films and series, including, With Difficulty Comes Ease (2024), Conversations in Transit (2024), The Perfect Arrangement (2022), Loving Rona (2021), Taqdeer (2025), Moonshine (2026). In addition to her acting talent, she is a prolific screenwriter and the CEO of Formatte Pictures, a film production outfit focused on elevated storytelling.

Aisha Baba Ahmed hails from the prominent and influential Baba-Ahmed family of Tudun Wada, Zaria. She is the sister of prominent Nigerian political figures, including the 2023 Labour Party vice-presidential candidate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, and Dr. Hakeem Baba-Ahmed. Alongside her media career, she runs a private talk show and works extensively as an Arewa cultural influencer.
