EARLY LIFE
Adunni Ade was born on June 7, 1986, in Queens, New York, U.S., to a German-Irish American mother and a Yoruba Nigerian father from Lagos. She returned to Nigeria at eighteen months old for her grandfather's burial and was raised in Lagos State by her father until her late teens, when she moved back to the United States for her university education. She attended Chrisland Primary School, Opebi, Lagos State, and The Bells Comprehensive Secondary School, Ota, Ogun State. Inspired by her businessman father, she studied accounting at the University of Kentucky.
CAREER
Before entering entertainment, Adunni Ade worked in the housing sector for the State of Kentucky and in the medical insurance department for the State of Maryland. She ventured into fashion modeling and was featured in America's Next Top Model. After moving back to Nigeria, she landed her first Nollywood role in the Yoruba language film 'You or I' in 2013. Her 2014 YouTube comedy skit 'Date Gone Bad' garnered over 170,000 hits. She has since starred in over 250 Nollywood films in both English and Yoruba. In 2021, she debuted as an executive producer with her film 'SOÓLÈ' through Lou-Ellen Clara Company Limited, which grossed over 51 million naira, making it one of the top 10 Nollywood movies in cinemas for 2021. In 2018, she wrote and produced her first Yoruba movie, 'Emi Mi – My Soul', followed by 'Ewa – Beauty'. She became a brand ambassador for OUD Majestic in 2017.

Adunni Ade is the mother of two sons, Ayden Young and D’marion Young.
