Biography
EARLY LIFE
Born in London to Nigerian parents of Yoruba origin, he was fostered by a white working-class family in Tilbury, Essex from the age of six weeks. He faced a difficult childhood marked by racial abuse and identity struggles, eventually attending boarding school in Surrey before earning a Master's degree in Law.
CAREER
He began his career as a model in Milan before transitioning to acting in Hollywood with his debut in Congo (1995). He is widely recognized for his roles as Simon Adebisi in Oz and Mr. Eko in Lost, and has appeared in major films like The Bourne Identity, Thor: The Dark World, and Suicide Squad. In 2018, he wrote and directed the autobiographical film Farming.
PERSONAL LIFE
He is a Nichiren Buddhist and a member of Soka Gakkai International. He currently resides in Los Angeles and is a dedicated supporter of Arsenal F.C.
