EARLY LIFE
Abbey Toyyib Elias, known professionally as Skiibii Mayana, was born on July 5, 1992, in Lagos, Nigeria. He began his musical journey in high school as a rapper before transitioning to R&B. His father was initially opposed to his desire to pursue a music career.
CAREER
Skiibii commenced his professional music career on December 24, 2014, when he was signed by Five Star Music. His debut single, 'Stay With Me' featuring Kcee, was released in January 2015. He left Five Star Music in 2017 to establish his own creative company, More Grace Music World. He gained significant prominence with his hit singles 'Sensima' and 'Daz How Star Do'. Other notable songs include 'Baddest Boy Remix' (featuring Davido), 'Trenches', 'Omaema', 'Are You Vhere', 'London' (featuring Reekado Banks), 'Somebody', and 'Kilo' (featuring T.I Blaze). In 2015, Skiibii was embroiled in controversy after false reports of his death circulated, which he later denied, attributing the incident to his manager. He made his official acting debut by starring in the Nollywood drama film titled A Tale Of Two Brothers.
