Following its celebrated world premiere as the opening film of the 2026 NollywoodWeek festival, Suss Productions’ cross-cultural romance East West Love is officially heading to the big screen.
Starting October 9, 2026, the Kenyan-Nigerian collaboration will roll out in cinemas across five countries, marking a major global theatrical push for the independent feature.
Described by the filmmakers as "one love story, two worlds," East West Love centers on a girls’ getaway trip to Mombasa. What begins as a much-needed escape from heartbreak quickly evolves into a profound journey of healing, self-discovery, and new romantic possibilities.
The film features a vibrant ensemble cast led by Sunshine Rosman and Brian Abajah, alongside Efia Iwara, El Mambadiwe, and Ni Mugo, bringing the coastal and urban landscapes of the story to life.
Behind the camera, the project is helmed by director Seko Shamte, whose distinct visual storytelling bridges the cinematic landscapes of East and West Africa. East West Love is produced by Fola Shayo and Dolapo ‘LowlaDee’ Adeleke, bringing together a powerhouse team of creatives dedicated to authentic, cross-border African storytelling.
To ensure the film reaches a wide international audience, Suss Productions has partnered with a robust lineup of distributors. The Nile Entertainment, Okada Media, and Snag Exclamationmark are handling the theatrical rollout.
