Ese confides in a friend about her exhaustion and frustration, but she stays committed to being a homemaker. After an argument, Ese brings the children to her class reunion because Joshua chooses to watch football. The conflict deepens, and Ese angrily wishes Joshua would lose his job. That wish comes true when Joshua is fired for fraud, and Ese finds a well-paying job. Joshua becomes the stay-at-home parent and struggles with baby care, feeding, and housework. Joshua's first days as a househusband overwhelm him. He follows Ese to a restaurant because he suspects she is deceiving him, and he realizes she is at a business meeting. Later, his son falls ill after he takes the children out. The illness forces Joshua to reflect on the weight of Ese's daily work. He breaks down and apologizes, and he acknowledges her sacrifices and asks for forgiveness. Joshua pledges to be a better husband and father, and he genuinely supports Ese. Ese decides to take a year off to be with the children. Together they celebrate by toasting to their future as an equal partnership.
