The Last Letter To My Sister

This movie called The Last Letter to My Sister is a sad story about two sisters. After their mother died, older sister Nkechi sacrificed a lot for younger sister Amara. Nkechi stopped her own education and did hard jobs like selling groundnuts to pay Amara’s school fees so Amara could become a lawyer. Amara always promised to repay her sister later. One day Amara went to celebrate her graduation at her fiancé Emeka’s house. Emeka’s father saw her and became very angry. He told Emeka that Nkechi is a sex worker and hookup girl. He said Nkechi was sent to his hotel in Abuja for a business deal and later stole a lot of money from him. Because of this, Emeka broke the engagement and sent Amara out of the house. Amara returned home very hurt. She shouted at Nkechi and called her prostitute and thief. She said Nkechi destroyed her future. Nkechi cried and tried to explain but Amara did not listen. Amara packed her bags, disowned Nkechi and left the house forever. Nkechi was left alone and heartbroken. She already had a health problem. The pain from her sister’s words made her very sick. She called Amara many times, but Amara ignored the calls. In her last moments, Nkechi wrote a final letter to Amara on her phone. She explained that she did those bad things only to keep Amara in school and protect her from poverty. Everything was done out of love. After writing the letter, Nkechi fell on the floor and died alone. Later Amara read the letter and understood the full truth. She felt deep regret and rushed back to the apartment. She found Nkechi’s dead body on the floor. Amara held her sister and cried bitterly. She realized too late that she had abandoned the only person who truly loved and sacrificed everything for her. The movie ends with Amara in great pain and sorrow.
