The Bloom After

In "The Bloom After", Inara and Kelvin seem to have a good marriage in their big home. Their kids are at school, so Inara wants to travel and spend time together. Kelvin says no because of work, but agrees to dinner on their anniversary. But he is not happy and flirts with his secretary Mabel at the office. Inara does not know this and hates when she hears about cheating from neighbors. On anniversary night, Inara waits at the restaurant alone. Kelvin does not come. He meets her later and says he is leaving for Mabel. He has been unhappy for years. Inara is very sad and cries a lot. Her friend Mena helps her. Mena says change clothes, go out, and date again. Inara feels old and done with life. Kelvin's new life with Mabel is bad. Mabel does not cook or clean. She likes parties and her phone more. Kelvin gets sick from bad food and stress, like ulcers and high blood pressure. He misses how Inara took care of him. Mena sets up a blind date for Inara at "Immaculate" restaurant. There she meets Nachi, the owner. They met before when Inara gave him her ID by mistake instead of card. Nachi is a widower, names the place after his mom, and cooks well. He is nice and they share stories of loss. They fall in love, and Inara feels happy and strong again. Kelvin gets worse. One day he feels sick and asks Mabel for help, but she says get a nurse and leaves. Kelvin sees his mistake and goes back to old home. He finds Inara looking great. He had a small stroke or heart issue. He begs to come back, says life with Mabel is mess. Inara says she forgives him because anger hurt her more. But she will not take him back. She is not his servant anymore. Then Nachi comes from kitchen in apron, asks if she is okay. Inara says he is her new partner. Kelvin feels shame and leaves. The movie ends with Inara and Nachi happy together in her new life.
