In ‘Plan B,’ a late-night argument turns explosive when a man overhears his friend’s partner’s dismissive remarks and storms into the bedroom, ordering the man to pack his bags immediately. With nowhere to go, Marshal meets a man by a river, where he’s offered a job as a caregiver for an elderly man, despite having no experience. Meanwhile, in a home where an unpleasant odor clings to the air, a daughter discovers her aged father asking if he’ll ever see his grandchildren, a question that leaves her visibly shaken. Soon, the transplanted caregiver begins his duties, cleaning and assisting the father even as the daughter hovers with relentless anxiety. The situation grows more complicated when the caregiver disappears to meet a social media influencer, leaving the daughter furious and demanding to see him in person. Explaining his sick mother’s needs, he receives three months’ salary in advance from her on the strict condition that he remains fully committed. Yet his return only breeds more friction, as bickering with another caregiver over chores and a tense interaction with an unexpected visitor rattle the fragile calm. While the daughter paces in distress, dismissing the significance of a phone alert he shows her. Adolf caregiver approaches the elderly father to ask for permission to marry his daughter, correcting an earlier metaphorical misstep and receiving a warm blessing. Dropping to his knees, Adolf proposes to Elsie, who happily accepts as the elderly father watches with approval. They embrace, sealing the transition from hired help to family member. The film concludes with closing credits accompanied by a musical performance.
