Storyline
The film "Ore Ofe" follows Oreofe, a hardworking customer service rep at Fluxnet telecom. She deals with abusive callers but stays professional. As the main provider, she pays rent for her family, funds her sister Temisan's school, and buys fancy clothes for her mom. She also supports her boyfriend Folly's music career, paying for studio time, while working extra shifts and skipping her own birthday. Things fall apart when Oreofe surprises Temisan at university with a cake. She learns Temisan was expelled over a year ago for cheating in exams. Her mom knew but hid it to keep getting money from Oreofe. At home, her mom defends Temisan, gaslights Oreofe, and acts like she deserves the cash. Oreofe's brother Biyi, who is jobless, keeps getting girls pregnant and makes Oreofe pay the bills. More pain comes when Oreofe hears a voice note at Folly's studio. A woman says Folly loves Oreofe only as an ATM. Folly calls it a song idea, but Oreofe sees he uses her. Stressed, she takes too many salary advances and gets fired. She collapses on the street. In hospital, Doctor Korede tells her blood pressure is high and she's pregnant. He shares his story of being drained by his family. He suggests testing her family's care by pretending she needs money. Her mom, after spending on clothes, refuses harshly. Her brother also says no. Oreofe cuts off her family. She paints "CHEATER" and "GIGOLO" on Folly's car for revenge. Months later, pregnant and happy, she dates Doctor Korede. He buys her clothes and a new Toyota Camry. They visit her family, now poor without her money. The family begs, but Doctor Korede protects her. Oreofe walks away free. The movie ends with a quote: "Never abandon yourself in the process of helping others. Sometimes the more you rescue them, the less they learn to stand on their own." It shows themes of betrayal, self-care, and true love.
