Khloe arrives at a luxurious coastal resort for a romantic getaway with her fiancé Francis, but passport issues delay his arrival indefinitely. In In Our Paradise, Ken, a software analyst engaged to Doris, checks into the same resort seeking an escape. They meet at the buffet and later at the pool bar, and an immediate magnetic attraction sparks between them. They share conversations, a walk on the beach, and a stolen kiss by the pool, each confessing they have never felt such a pull before, while both wrestle with guilt. Ken confides in his friend Kayode that the attraction is emotional rather than only physical, and he breaks off his engagement to Doris the moment he realizes his feelings. Encouraged by her friend Alexis, Khloe ends her relationship with Francis over the phone, declaring she is not in love and never saw a future together. Francis refuses the breakup and unexpectedly arrives at the resort to fight for her, creating a tense confrontation. Meanwhile Alexis discovers online that Ken was engaged to Doris, her friend, and reveals this to a devastated Khloe. At a beach bonfire organized by Alexis the truth explodes into the open. Khloe confronts Ken about his hidden engagement and he confirms he ended it for her, insisting his heart belonged to her the whole time. Khloe reveals she also ended things with Francis, who is at the resort trying to reconcile. Overwhelmed Khloe attempts to walk away but Ken stops her, confessing he is consumed by her and terrified of losing the only thing that makes him feel alive. They acknowledge the selfishness of their pursuit but agree they cannot deny what exists between them, embracing as the night ends. The next morning Ken and Khloe wake up together, solidifying their new beginning with promises of a future. Their peace shatters when Francis appears at the villa demanding answers and refusing to let go. Khloe stands her ground, telling Francis their relationship is over because he was never truly present.
