Before We Let Go

The film Before We Let Go starts with actor Folarin filming a romantic scene with co-star Lilian. After "cut" is called, he pulls away, saying he only kisses his real wife. He goes home to Ada and their daughter Ifeoma, where their life seems perfect. Folarin gives Ada a luxury watch and promises a special anniversary celebration. However, he later accepts a big acting job that makes him miss their date. At a restaurant, Ada meets her ex-boyfriend David, a successful gallery owner. This causes tension with Folarin. Feeling neglected, Ada visits David's art show secretly. David tries to kiss her but she refuses. Folarin returns home early and they argue badly. He accuses her of cheating while she complains about giving up her painting dreams for his career. Angry, Folarin leaves the house. He soon returns with a big romantic gesture, rose petals, cake and a heartfelt apology. He begs Ada to stay with him and gives her a ring. They kiss. Suddenly, someone yells "Cut!" The big surprise is that all these events - the fights, the gallery meeting and apology - were actually movie scenes. Lilian was playing the role of Ada. After filming, Lilian tries to seduce the real Folarin. He rejects her and rushes home. There, he finds his actual wife, who is a true artist painting with their daughter. Folarin brings a cake, relieved he chose his real family over the temptations of his film life. The story shows the thin line between acting and reality.
