EARLY LIFE
Faith Fidel was born on 28 March 2009 in Tiko, South West Region, Cameroon. She began her acting journey at the age of five. She is also a talented gymnast and contortionist whose skills first gained public attention in 2019 through a viral video showcasing her abilities. She is currently based in the South West Region and has been described as a child with a great heart who shares with others, including spending her 12th birthday at an orphanage in Limbe.
Faith Fidel made her acting debut in 2014 at age five with a small role in the movie Tenacity directed by Derick Musing. She has since appeared in numerous Cameroonian films, including Stripped, Vindicated, Saving Mbango (2018), Stained, Where I Come From (2020), Babila, Storm, and Lycée Abakwa. Her breakthrough role came in 2020 as Ekah in the acclaimed film The Fisherman’s Diary, a performance that earned her widespread recognition after the movie was added to Netflix. She is also recognised for her contortionist and gymnastic talents, which have led to live appearances, including as an opening act at concerts in Douala. As of the latest reports, she continues to balance her rising acting career with education, having successfully passed 10 subjects in the GCE Ordinary Level and all 5 subjects in the GCE Advanced Level at age 16.
