Bolanle Austen-Peters, often called BAP, is a trailblazing Nigerian filmmaker, theatre director, and cultural entrepreneur whose passion for storytelling has elevated African narratives on global stages. Born in Ibadan, Oyo State, with roots in Ekiti, she initially pursued a legal career, earning her law degree from the University of Lagos and a master's in international law from the London School of Economics. Her early professional years took her across the world, working with the United Nations on human rights and development in places like Geneva, New York, Ethiopia, and Namibia.
